Michael Morpurgo on performing War Horse at the 2014 BBC Proms

On August 3rd 2014 Michael became part of a cast at Prom 22: The War Horse Prom, part of this year’s BBC Proms held at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

In this very special BookD interview, Michael reflects on his experiences performing with a cast and sharing such an intimate moment meeting Joey in front of five thousand people.

The BBC Concert orchestra was conducted by David Charles Abell with a special program devised specially for the War Horse prom performing Adrian Sutton’s War Horse Suite, Ravel’s Le tombeau de couperin, Elgar’s The Snow and Ave Maria; Home they brought her warrior dead by Holst.
