War Horse to return to the National Theatre to mark Armistice Day centenary year

To mark the 100th anniversary of the Armistice, the National Theatre will revive War Horse in the Lyttelton Theatre for a limited run – 8 November 2018 to 5 January 2019.

The Olivier Award-winning production, based on Michael Morpurgo’s bestselling 1982 novel, will celebrate 100 years since the First World War ended, returning to the National Theatre 11 years after it debuted there.

This powerfully moving and imaginative drama, filled with stirring music and songs, is a show of phenomenal inventiveness. At its heart are astonishing life-sized horses by the Handspring Puppet Company, who bring breathing, galloping, charging horses to thrilling life on stage.

Tickets for the production will go on sale later this year.
