The Butterfly Lion at Barn Theatre

Based on Michael Morpurgo’s incredible novel The Butterfly Lion, this stage production has been adapted by Daniel Buckroyd. It charts the extraordinary friendship between young Albert Andrews and an orphaned lion cub he rescues from the African Veld.

It is an epic tale that will take audience members across the world, starting in rural Wiltshire. Then, audiences will travel to African plains and to the bleeding heart of war-torn France, without ever leaving their seats! The journey will keep adults and even the most fidgety of children entranced all the way through to the startling conclusion.

Watch The Butterfly Lion at Barn Theatre in Cirencester Tuesday 2nd April – Saturday 4th May 2019.

Praise for The Butterfly Lion at Barn Theatre – “the best play you’ll ever see.”
