Michael Morpurgo shortlisted for Costa Book Awards

Radio 4’s Front Row announced last night that Michael Morpurgo’s latest novel Listen to the Moon has been shortlisted for the Children’s Book Award at the 2014 Costa Book Awards.

Discussed by Samira Ahmed and HarperCollins author Stephanie Merritt (aka SJ Parris), Michael’s latest novel of World War One joins other titles by Simon Mason, Kate Saunders and Marcus Sedgwick. Of Listen to the Moon, the judges said:

“A captivating, utterly transporting war novel that lives on powerfully in the memory.”
