Name the Nethercott Duck competition!

Name the Nethercott duck!

To celebrate the publication of Michael’s new book The Birthday Duck – out 15th April – we’ve launched a competition on Michael Morpurgo’s Facebook page asking you to suggest a name for Nethercott duck, to be decided by Michael himself!  The person who comes up with the winning name will received a signed copy of The Birthday Duck. Full T&Cs here http://bit.ly/DuckcompTCs

The duck is a white Indian Runner Duck. She’s about 3 years old and lays lovely blue eggs. She likes to stroll across the neighbour’s meadow with her two duck friends and sometimes has to be rounded up for the evening by visiting children!

The Birthday Duck is a joyous story of a boy who rescues a duck and goes home in the coach with him in his duffle bag after a visit to Nethercott Farm. It’s inspired by a true story told to Michael by a teacher of a boy who smuggled a penguin onto the bus home after a visit to Dudley zoo! Nethercott Farm is one of the farms of the charity Farms for City Children founded by Clare and Michael in 1976.
