Michael Morpurgo Month


This March was Michael Morpurgo Month, a celebration of the nation’s favourite storyteller. It was a chance for everyone to find out more about Michael Morpurgo’s wonderful books, whether you’re a teacher, librarian, bookseller, parent or child.

Each week we highlighed titles based around themes close to the author’s heart: War, Journeys, Legends and Animals. The month covered some of Michael’s most celebrated stories, fromRunning Wild and War Horse to Private Peaceful and The Butterfly Lion.  To help support the chosen titles there are free teacher resources, author videos, extracts, audio downloads and more.
