Little Manfred: In Conversation with Michael Morpurgo and Michael Foreman

On Monday 6th June at 7pm, The Imperial War Museum launches a new children’s book written by author of War Horse, Michael Morpurgo and illustrated by Michael Foreman. Little Manfred is a heart warming tale, directly inspired by a pull-along toy found in the Museum’s collection, which was made by a German prisoner of war during the Second World War and fashioned from an old apple crate.

The book has been commissioned to partner the Museum’s new exhibition Once Upon a Wartime: Classic War Stories for Children and will be published by Harper Collins on 9 June. Michael Morpurgo regrets that due to an injury he is unable to sign books at this event. However, signed bookplates will be available and he is happy to meet with audience members, so do bring along your camera and get a photo with the author.

Tickets: £8.
To book your tickets please call the Box Office: 0207 416 5439, or buy online.
