Michael meets Sherlock Holmes at Sandown Races!
It was a great day despite the weather. Michael did a talk before the racing for children and adults, and then introduced Joey, one of the War Horse puppets in the main parade ring. Added excitement was the presence of Benedict Cumberbatch aka BBC’s Sherlock Holmes, and two fellow actors, Patrick Kennedy and Tom Hiddleston who are also appearing with him in the War Horse film. Michael talked about his latest book An Elephant in the Garden with Channel 4 Racing. And to top off the day Frankie Dettori jumped up on Joey for a quick photo!
