I found this book really good. It was really fascinating!! I would read it over an over again and still never get bored of this book! I truly love this author and I would do anything to meet him. He really inspired me to start writing mini stories similar to his. Thanks so much Micheal!!

Also recommend war horse it’s amazing!! Oh and private peaceful! I’ve watched the movie and read the book and cried in both!! Lots of love Riya age 12 xx

This book is so sweet!
It starts like a normal book but it gradually you realise how it actually is different from anything you read.
I didn’t expect anything that exciting to happen but I was wrong!!!
I fully recommend you read this, I was reading it for something to do but I couldn’t put it down once I got into it. It gets very sad but the emotion brings out the amazing story in itself!
A MUST READ !!!

I have read lots of Michael Morpurgo's books with my daughter and I love them so much that if someone else is looking after her for the evening, I will not let them read her a chapter as I don't want to miss it! About 99% of them have made me cry, and this one is no exception. It is a very unusual tale, different from anything else I had read before. We both love it. "Leelee, Leelee"!
ALTHOUGH, IT WASN'T MY FIRST BOOK OF HIS, KING OF THE CLOUD FORESTS IS MY FAVE BECAUSE IT'S A REALLY EXCITING STORY. IT'S ALSO UNIQUE. I'VE NEVER READ ANYTHING LIKE IT! IT'S MY FAVOURITE BOOK EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I DIDN'T THINK I WOULD LIKE IT AT FIRST (THE FIRST CHAPTER) BUT THEN IT JUST GOT SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD! smile MICHAEL MORPURGO IS THE BEST!!! smile
As with many of micheals books (war horse, kensukes kingdom, private peaceful) it is so easy to get lost in the stories. King of the cloud forests has been my favourite since i was little & even though I'm now 24 I still pick it up & would recommend it to anyone! One of many fantastic reads!
This was the first book that I read and completed on my own as a child. Michael Morpurgo inspired me to be a writer and in doing so this book sparked my thirst for knowledge, reading and writing. I went on to get an A* in English at GCSE, an English A-Level and now a BA Hons in English Literature and Creative Writing. All of his books, and especially this one, have characters that are so real and vivid that you can conjure them up in front of you using your mind. You can feel their pain, their happiness, their anger and their frustrations. I have now happily bestowed all of the books I own by this magnificent author to my younger sister, in the hope he will inspire her in the same way.
It's my favourite because its the first Morpurgo book I read! He sets his books in places that others don't and has educated me about so many topics. This is a lovely story and everyone should read it again and again
