I absolutely loved this book because its the perfect example of the quote: you cant judge a book by its cover ! my friend said that she was a little scared to read this because of the cover but when i read it I didn’t put it down at all !!

I was at a book shop in London and I sow this book in the window. I had a look at in and thought it sounded good, and because my family have fostered many children before I thought it would be good. That was the first Michael Morpurgo book I ever read and now i have every older book he has ever written but Long Way Home is the best yet!!

i read the first few pages and got boared honesly but no i love i havent read the full book yet like thought i like i already i started 3 days ago and im almost on chapeter 5 thought george is ment 2 be on a holiday and hes getting woke early in the mornings and in the middle of the night and not even getting payed thought they offered him the money i would not of took it miseld

This is a fantastic book. George is a foster kid who goes to stay at the Dyer's house. He was going to run away. But when he fell asleep the rain got heavier. George and Tom had to save the animals. Just then Tom is more like a brother to George. He stays until one day Mrs Dyer goes to hospital and Storme sprained her ankle. Mr Dyer couldn't look after the farm and all the children. Where did George go? Read the book to find out.

the book long way home is kind of set on my best friend's life because she didn't want to go into a foster family before but now she calls the family a real family so every time i read this book i think of my friend lala may. I LOVE THIS BOOK! it's the best book out of all of Michael Morpurgo's books because when i read i can see what pictures the author is giving you. when i bought this book there wee 100's of books to look at but then i ran up to long way home because it stood out from all of the other books and is well detailed!
